Life's good...LG fridge and washer/dryer, anyone?
Well, that was exactly what we spent our past few weekends doing -- sourcing, scouring and searching for the best deals and getting measurements for the new nest.
We're pretty certain that for the remaining days counting down to the official handover on Thursday, every minute will probably pass without us noticing (somewhat akin to vacation time) so we better CHERISH the moment. Like a certain TVB character's famous words -
人生有几多个十年~最紧要的系(活得)痛快 - 柴九、巾帼枭雄
*translated* : How many decades are there in one's lifetime? What's fundamentally important would be to live without regrets and live to the fullest (YOLO for the millennials(?))
Having put down our first little wad of cash into this flat meant that reality sank in months ago, especially with the ongoing endemic situation making things rather disruptive for Housing Board procedures due to manpower shortage and supply bottlenecks. It was definitely better than striking lottery when we received the final Lease of Agreement -- sealing the sweet deal. :)
^ I probably did look like I was dancing side to side
Looking back, the months and SMS/whatsApp(s) sent on whatever property platforms and seller's adverts were worth it after all, as it cemented the foreseeable wedding bells which seemed to be impossible to plan for with no favourable result from our previous BTO ballots and house viewings to find a suitable resale apartment.
Speaking of which, would anyone be interested to know about the entire process of house-hunting and budget planning for young couples starting out? Do drop us a shout-out if you're keen to have first-hand tips as reaching a wide audience would help us to know if the content published is helpful and practical.
Before I end this post, would just like to dedicate this entry to my husband-to-be. Thank you for always having waited for me to start @the Beginning with you.
Hope is eternal
